The Belle Isle Gala 2025 will be held on 5 July from 12-3pm at Windmill Primary School, LS10 3HQ and Coopers Field.
So far we have the following confirmed:
Fire engine from Hunslet Fire Station
Herd Farm Climbing Wall
Four giant inflatables from Breeze
Jacket potatoes with fillings prepared by Belle Isle Community Kitchen
St John’s Ambulance will be present in case of any accidents
A brass quintet from Opera North
In Harmony Opera North Choirs, with children from Windmill Primary, Low Road Primary, Clapgate Primary and Sharp Lane Primary
Short family-orientated performances by Opera North
Birds of Prey
Ferret racing!

The Lord Mayor is unable to attend, but will be represented by the Vice-Chair of Council, Councillor Barry Anderson
The Gala is being planned by a group that has been meeting every two months from July and will then meet monthly from January. There are local residents, councillors, and staff from BITMO, Leeds Fed and Places for People.
The meetings are held on Saturdays at 3pm at BITMO’s GATE, during the Belle Isle Repair Café. Dates for the remaining meetings are April 19, May 17and June 21. There will also be a meeting after the Gala on Saturday 21 July to talk about how it went and how we can make it even better for 2026.
