Update from the BITMO Board – September 2021

10 September 2021

Following the Board meeting on Thursday 2 September, BITMO will be launching a ‘Listening Programme’, which has been designed to amplify our tenants’ voices around what services and events should take place at BITMOs GATE.  We’d really like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, and to help us shape our 2022 programme.

You can complete our survey here.

The Board approved our Management Accounts and the HR report, which provides information on staff attendance and reasons for absence, as well as items on health and safety and colleague wellbeing. You can hear more about this at our AGM from 5pm on Thursday 30 September at Belle Isle Working Men’s Club.

The Board discussed the steps we are taking to strengthen our arrangements to keep your homes safe for gas, electricity, fire, asbestos, and legionella.

The Board are keen to ensure that everyone can access our events and activities, and that we’re promoting them as well as we can do both digitally and via posters and leaflets.

BITMO’s Board has opened a new Winter Warmth Fund for this winter. The Board understand the cost of living crisis that is affecting many people and have allocated money from their budget to pay for goods that can help you and your family keep warm this winter.

BITMO households in need of extra support can apply for a winter warmth pack which will contain large fleecy sherpa blankets, hot water bottles with covers and fleecy socks, with the amounts depending on how many people are in our household.

You can find out more and apply for a Winter Warmth Pack here.
