Working for BITMO

Working for BITMO is different from most other housing jobs. We are a tenant-led organisation and as well as working closely with Leeds City Council, our Board are able to make changes to the services we provide for the benefit of our tenants.

We are extremely proud of our organisation and our staff are key to us achieving our goals of efficient and effective service with the highest levels of tenant satisfaction. We have similar terms and conditions to Leeds City Council and new employees moving from LCC or other local authorities maintain their continuous service, we also have a reciprocal agreement with LCC for staff to be treated as internal candidates.

We offer a variety of training and development opportunities and staff can also get involved with mentoring local residents, helping out at social events for older residents, festive activities and the annual Belle Isle Gala.

BITMO’s Board has opened a new Winter Warmth Fund for this winter. The Board understand the cost of living crisis that is affecting many people and have allocated money from their budget to pay for goods that can help you and your family keep warm this winter.

BITMO households in need of extra support can apply for a winter warmth pack which will contain large fleecy sherpa blankets, hot water bottles with covers and fleecy socks, with the amounts depending on how many people are in our household.

You can find out more and apply for a Winter Warmth Pack here.
