Belle Isle Tenant Management Organisation has responsibility for the repairs and capital investment to maintain approximately nineteen hundred properties in the Belle Isle area of Leeds. We are looking for a Community Development Assistant to support our Community Development Team and undertake Home Visits to tenants
You will be a proactive problem solver and will be responsible for arranging, carrying out, processing and following up Home Visits. This role involves participation in tenant engagement activities and provides administrative support within the Community Development Team. The work is somewhat seasonal in nature, with the majority of annual tenancy contacts being carried out in the winter months, while in the spring and summer there is a focus on community events and consultation. Willingness to work outside, on evenings and at weekends is necessary.
The main duties of this post are:
- Undertaking Home Visits across the estate.
- Supporting the Community Development Team.
- Providing administrative support.
- Providing advice, information, support and signposting to tenants on the range of services available from BITMO, the council and 3rd sector organisations.
