Our Board met at the end of July to discuss and agree some new policies and changes to what we do, which included:

  • a designated reserves policy that will give us an additional £70,000 per year to give in grants to our customers and to enhance the physical environment in Belle Isle
  • the decision to form a charity, which will help us to access funding and develop our services
  • the development of a partnership with the National Federation of TMOs (NFTMO) to provide services on their behalf to their national membership base
  • a new swifter, more streamlined and effective complaints policy
  • a new donations policy

BITMO hours over the holidays

BITMO’s housing office – the housing counter and the telephone service – will be business as normal until 5pm on Monday 23 December.

Tuesday 24 December – 9am-1pm

Wednesday 25 December – CLOSED

Thursday 26 December – CLOSED

Friday 27 December – 10am-4pm

Monday 30 December -10am-4pm

Tuesday 31 December – 10am-1pm

Wednesday 1 January – CLOSED

BITMO’s Board has opened a new Winter Warmth Fund for this winter. The Board understand the cost of living crisis that is affecting many people and have allocated money from their budget to pay for goods that can help you and your family keep warm this winter.

BITMO households in need of extra support can apply for a winter warmth pack which will contain large fleecy sherpa blankets, hot water bottles with covers and fleecy socks, with the amounts depending on how many people are in our household.
